A long tree branch found in a forest has been left to dry out. Where the branch has cracked, tin has been poured. Custom made met- al stands support the branch in the air. Aside from the branch, a screen plays a video representing the same branch as a 3D ren- dered object. The camera moves closer to the end of the branch and penetrates its surface, revealing a hollow tunnel inside. This work is an investigation on how digital translations allow us to experience hidden aspects of objects. The hollow tree is also a spacial tunnel, un-experienced by anyone previous to being 3D scanned.
